A new Italian eatery in my neighbouhood... Woo hoo! I love myself a good carbonara. So on a cold winter day I sauntered into Tolli and took a seat on the mezzanine to give myself a grand view of the space.
The white walls are decorated sparsely with artwork and chalk board menu's yet there is somehow still a warmth about the place.
My carbonara and basket of garlic bread arrived. I dived straight into the bread, it was good with an intriguing rich, almost fruity taste. The pasta looked dry, lacking the creamy sauce I am used to, but like a trooper, I dived in. It was excellent! Doused in black pepper and parmesan I devoured my tasty plate in short time.
Tolli is not Italian as in Pizza Express Italian. Tolli is authentic, from what they serve to who they are. In my brief visit I heard more Italian than in an entire season of the Soprano's.
Great work Tolli, I will certainly be back. -

Nice, relaxed service, free WiFi, pretty good coffee, and lots of seating. Not much more you can ask for for a neighborhood cafe. They do meals, but I've never had them; their cakes and coffees are enough for me.

Very generic experience...I had a very nonchalant smoked salmon salad that I can say nothing exciting about. Not expensive, but I don't see why you would eat here opposed to other cafe's in the area.
